Trading Signals

The ATS Trading Signals are designed to predict the short-term trends of the SP/ES futures 1 trading day in advance. The trading signals downloaded in the evening apply at the close of the day session on the following trading day.

Trading signals generated by individual models as well as ensembles of models are included. The average trade period for individual models ranges from 3 to 450 trading days. Trading systems built using ensembles of individual models provide predictions of the short-term, mid-term and long-term trends.

The master trading system uses the 3 trend predictions to produce the master trading signal. By only trading when the short-term, mid-term and long-term trends align, risk is reduced and trading performance is enhanced.

Technical Indicators

The ATS Technical Indicators are designed to be leading indicators of daily security price trends. The SIP indicators (Stock Index Predictors) were designed to be predictive of the SP/ES futures contracts.
The SIP indicator set includes the following seven indicators:

   * Buy Pressure
   * Sell Pressure
   * Net Pressure
   * High Buy Pressure
   * High Sell Pressure
   * Advancing Pressure
   * Declining Pressure
The ATS indicators can be charted along with the corresponding security using an application such as AmiBroker. The predictive power of the indicators can be easily evaluated. Another approach is to use the indicators as inputs when building neural network models. There are many possibilities.

How to Download the Trading Signals

ATS SP Trading Signals & SIP Indicators
The SP Trading Signals are available from January 4, 1993 and the ATS SIP Indicators are available from July 1, 1997. All historical trading signals must be considered hypothetical.
NOTE: Hypothetical or simulated performance results have inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. Past performance of our trading systems, trading software and trading signals, whether actual or indicated by simulated historical tests of trading strategies, is not indicative of future results.
